This website was launched in June 2006, primarily as a business portal. We aren't intending to keep it at that, however - there are plans for a rich diversity of content that will make the site far more useful than just a simple list of businesses (although, if you are unhappy with the march of the mega supermarkets and their effect on local, independent traders, you should certainly make use of the business directory!). We intend to develop the site over the next few months to include details of transport links in and out of Romiley as well as a focus on Romiley’s heritage. We also have a News & Events page - please get in touch if you have news that is of interest to local residents or businesses, or you are arranging an event that you would like to be listed on the site.

Another significant aim of the website is to provide a forum that gives a focal point for residents and traders to make known their feelings regarding Romiley.
